Course readings in Dropbox

Yesterday I sent you an invitation to the shared Dropbox folder that contains my presentations and course readings. Currently, you will find the following scanned book chapters from that folder:

Lowgren_&_Stolterman_2007_Chapter1.pdf

Chapter 1 from “Thoughtful Interaction Design” by Löwgren and Stolterman (2007) is a good general introduction to the field of interaction design.

Cooper_et_al_2007_Chapter4.pdf

Cooper et al (2007) give a good overview of qualitative research methods such as etnographic interviews. This is useful for groups who need to do some form of contextual inquiry before getting started with the personas.

Cooper_et_al_2007_Chapter5.pdf

My presentation of persona method was mostly based on this chapter by Cooper et al (2007). It explains different types of personas, their goals and some strategies for constructing personas.

Brown_2010_Chapter3.pdf

Brown (2010) provides a lot of different examples about constructing personas.

Gothelf_2013_p26-31.pdf

Gothelf (2013) presents a very lightweight and agile approach on sketching personas.

If you have time to read just one of these chapters, then I would recommend Cooper_et_al_2007_Chapter5.pdf. If you have not received an invitation to Dropbox or you use a different e-mail for Dropbox, then please let me know (hans.poldoja@tlu.ee) and I will send you a new invitation.
